Hi everyone — whilst COVID 19 has obviously been completely and utterly rubbish, it has given us the time to do something I personally have been wanting to do for a few years now — lock in a fully designed reading curriculum for KS2. We have a 45 minute whole class reading lesson every day. This consists of around 15 minutes of the children reading and then 30 minutes of discussion and tasks. This ensure children have access to and study a text in its entirety from start to finish and build the skill of following a text through.
